Improver’s Class(Comforting Rope) – 21st August

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Our improvers’ class is aimed at people who have tied before. The skill requirement for all of these classes is knowledge of tying a single column tie. Each class has a different theme, around a particular mood/vibe of rope. You can expect to learn the theory behind the style, patterns for tying, and do some freestyle exercises.

Comforting Rope

The sensation of being in rope can feel very comforting, as we allow ourselves to be held and seen completely, by a trusted person who holds us in unconditional positive regard.

During this class, we will explore some of the theory and concepts behind tying in a way that is intended to be comforting, will cover a hands-in-front chest harness, will explore ways to build a freestyle ‘hug’ harness, and will explore different comforting positions to tie people into.

Skill Requirements

For this class, you’ll only need to know how to tie a single column tie, and ideally some basic rope handling.
