Improver’s Class (Comforting Rope) – 18th February

8:15 pm - 11:30 pm

Our improvers’ class is aimed at people who have completed the Beginners’ curriculum and want to learn more about rope. This also runs on a four-week curriculum, with a different style of rope as the theme each week. You can expect to learn the theory behind the style, different patterns for tying, and different freestyle exercises each week. Comforting Rope

The sensation of being in rope can feel very comforting, as we allow ourselves to be held and seen completely, by a trusted person who holds us in unconditional positive regard.

During this class, we will explore some of the theory and concepts behind tying in a way that is intended to be comforting, will cover a hands-in-front chest harness, will explore ways to build a freestyle ‘hug’ harness, and will explore different comforting positions to tie people into.

Skill Requirements

For this class, you’ll only need to know how to tie a single column tie, and ideally some basic rope handling.
